Twin Bridge Farms is located near Welleston Ohio and was founded in 2026 by Chris Pigge, but its roots go back nearly a century. In the 1920s, Chris’s great-grandfather Sam purchased the first portion of this land, and in the years that followed, his grandparents Fred and Marge Pigge expanded the acreage and farmed it under the name Wild Turkey Hill Farms, named for the flocks of wild turkeys that still patrol these hills today. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in Agriculture in 2026, Chris moved straight back to his family’s generational ground to get to work. Twin Bridge Farms is a regenerative farm, meaning we strive to incorporate every animal on the farm in a way that works in symbiosis with nature to strengthen the ecosystem. Through practices like rotational grazing, deep bedding, and natural composting systems, we focus on building healthier soils year after year. We use no herbicides, insecticides, or pesticides, and our animals are raised without hormones or antibiotics. We are starting small, just 15 pastured pigs, some chickens and a market garden in our first season, but we are thinking long term. Our vision is to steadily grow so we can serve more of our community with nutrient dense food, continue improving the soil, create meaningful local jobs with fair wages, and contribute to a stronger local economy. Twin Bridge Farms wants to build a community centered around good food, friendship and healthy soils, we hope you will be a part of it.
